The Coaches
Javier 'Jav' Vela
Javier Vela, known to most as "Jav", has been the head coach of Klein Oak Softball for ?? years.
Under Jav's guidance the 1998 Panthers won the 5A State Championship. Jav also teaches Economics
at Klein Oak.
Away from school, Jav is well known in the softball community, giving both pitching and hitting lessons.
Jav has also been on the coaching staff of the professional women's softball team the Rockford Thunder
(formerly Texas Thunder) for the past 4 years, and as head coach/manager for the past 3 years.
Eric Montgomery
Coach Montgomery is in his 2nd year with Klein Oak Softball.
He is the head coach for the Junior Varsity team and first base coach for the varsity team.
